Software aids design professionals through creative process.
December 1, 2008 -
Combining functions of LinceoVr and EasyOn into one product, LinceoVR 3.0 facilitates creative process, from 3D modeling to prototype approval phase. LinceoVr component consists of real-time rendering engine with stereoscopic visualization support, which uses illumination to visualize 3D models in real-time. EasyOn component allows agencies to conceptualize their own product in real world, comparing design with that of competition, and allows clients to virtually test products at home.
A solution complete and accessible to all, to accompany design professionals through the entire creative process of a new product: from 3D modelling to prototype approval phase. Seac02 announces the launch of LinceoVR 3.0, the world's first program on the market to integrate the functions of Realtime Render for Design Review and Augmented Reality into one product (http://english.seac02.it/Home/linceoVR3.aspx).
The program's 3.0 version was officially launched on the occasion of the ninth "International Computer Graphics Conference - View 2008" (Turin,
11-14 November, 2008) and will present, in a single program, the functions of two current Seac02 products: LinceoVr and EasyOn. The result is a more powerful working instrument, available to all who propose to the CAD a product that has a component of design: from industrial design to architecture, from furnishing to packaging.
In particular, the LinceoVr component offers companies the possibility to reduce times and costs in the activities of projecting, marketing and sales. LinceoVr, in fact, is an innovative realtime rendering engine with stereoscopic visualisation support, which uses the most advanced techniques of illumination to visualise 3D models in real time in exceptionally realistic computer graphics.
EasyOn, however, allows agencies to conceptualise their own product in the real world, comparing design with that of the competition, and allows their clients to virtually test the products at home. All this is made possible through HD tele-cameras, simple webcams or photographic equipment with which it is possible to acquire personalised video or photographs at high resolution.
"The greatest innovation of LinceoVr 3.0," comments Andrea Carignano of Seac02, "is that in the genesis process of a new product, validation of the prototype can be made totally in virtual reality. To understand all its potential, simply turn on a simple webcam. Thanks to the function of "augmented reality", a virtual model of the completed prototype will appear in the camera's scope, and can be managed in interactive mode or in real time. For example, by observing it at 360° to compare it to its previous version or to a competitor's product. Or, more simply, to verify the validity of packaging on supermarket shelves."
On the occasion of the launch of the new product, Seac02 will offer a special price for 60 days from 11 November 2008. The clients who purchase LinceoVr 3.0 will also receive a LinceoVr 2.1 and EasyOn 2.1 licence with free update upon the release of 3.0.
Founded in Turin in 2003, Seac02 provides the market with software and visualisation systems to improve the quality and efficiency of engineering, marketing, sales and multimedia communications processes, offering the customer technologically advanced solutions for a knowledgeable eCommerce.
