Panopto Hosted features course-wide search, podcasting, Blackboard LMS integration, and simplified recording and publishing workflow. Video, audio, and presentation materials can be recorded as well as multiple video streams or audio-only presentations. It enables search, across multiple presentations, for keywords in PowerPointŪ files and automatically detects devices connected to each system. Panopto Releases Hosted Version of Its Popular Lecture Capture Platform
PITTSBURGH, Nov. 13 / / - Panopto, Inc. announced today the general availability of Panopto Hosted, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) version of its lecture and meeting capture platform.
Created for educational institutions, corporate training departments, and government agencies, Panopto Hosted allows presenters to quickly and easily capture lectures, meetings and training material without investing in IT infrastructure and resources. Panopto's primary CourseCast features, including course-wide search, podcasting, Blackboard LMS Integration, and a simplified recording and publishing workflow are now available via Panopto Hosted.

In addition to recording video, audio, and presentation materials, users can record multiple video streams or audio-only presentations. Viewers can search across multiple presentations for keywords in PowerPointŪ slides and student notes. The Panopto Recorder automatically discovers any devices connected to each recording laptop, desktop or smartroom system. It automatically streams to multiple formats, including Microsoft's Windows Media, Silverlight(TM), and MP3 podcasts, greatly simplifying the session recording and distribution process.
Panopto Hosted (http://hosted.panopto.com/) is available on monthly and annual subscription levels. CourseCast Client-Server will continue to be available free-of-charge to academic participants in the Socrates Project.
