Machining Centers have 5-axis trunnion design.
November 13, 2008 -
Engineered with Fanuc direct drive motor that drives both rotary and tilting axes, Nissin MAX i-Series Machining Centers complete part in one set-up, speeding production time. Trunnion mounting provides machining stability and accuracy, as well as enhanced contouring capabilities. Rigid table designs accommodate machining of larger parts, while cast iron frames with honeycomb design and bridge type construction also contribute to rigidity and precision. Various models are offered.
Nissin MAX i-Series 5-Axis Trunnion Machining Centers Maximize Productivity and Profitability
Elk Grove Village, IL - (November 12, 2008) The 5-axis trunnion machining capability of the Nissin MAX i-Series, from SNK America, saves manufacturing time and costs. Featuring a large work envelope, the Nissin MAX i-Series Machining Centers access five sides of a part, and complete the part in just one set-up, for reduced labor and production time. Built-in five-axis operation also decreases workholding and fixturing expenses.
The unique trunnion mounting of the MAX i-Series provides exceptional machining stability and accuracy, as well as enhanced contouring capabilities. The MAX i-Series features a true trunnion axis, not a cantilever style. The trunnion table of the MAX i-Series supports payload and cutting force at both ends of the trunnion. Rigid table designs allow for ample swing area for accurate machining of larger parts. Massive cast iron frames with a unique honeycomb design, and bridge type construction further contribute to the rigidity and precision of the MAX i-Series, even during heavy high-speed cutting.
The MAX i-Series is engineered and built with a Fanuc direct drive motor that drives both the rotary and tilting axes. This provides higher rotating speed, more efficient power transfer and increased repeatability.
The MAX i-Series is available in MAX410i and the MAX710i models. Each is ideal for aircraft, mold and die, medical, automotive and complicated shape applications.
Both of the models are available in two different configurations: true contouring 5-axis or positioning 5-axis (up to 4 axes simultaneous control). The MAX 410i-F40 and the MAX 710i-F40/F50 are contouring 5-axis machines featuring spindle speeds of up to 20,000 rpm, 17" round tables (20" square MAX 710i), 30 rpm tilting speeds (25 rpm MAX 710i) and 150 rpm rotary speeds (125 rpm MAX 710i). The MAX 410i-P40 and the MAX 710i-P50 are positioning 5-axis machines (up to 4 axes simultaneous control) featuring speeds of up to 12,000 rpm (10,000 rpm MAX 710i), 17" round tables (20" square MAX 710i), 25 rpm tilting speeds (8 rpm MAX 710i) and 40 rpm rotary speeds (30 rpm MAX 710i).
The Nissin MAX i-Series is one of the many advanced machinery lines available from SNK America, Inc.
