Toyoda Expands VMC Line with Two New Large Machines

Arlington Heights, IL - Following the introduction of its second generation of VMCs, Toyoda Machinery is excited to announce the product line's expansion, which includes two new larger-footprint machines. The FV Series is designed for better performance and reliability, while the longer Y- and Z-travel of the new FV1480 and FV1680 suit the manufacturing needs of large-part industries such as aerospace and energy.

The new FV1480 and FV1680 will deliver larger table size, increased stroke, higher table capacity and more torque than the original machines. The high-speed linear guide and box way VMCs offer a range of spindle options for high precision and heavy-cutting applications. The FV Series ranges from 6,000 to 15,000 rpm and delivers high rotational accuracy, thermal stability, and maximum vibration dampening characteristics. The large precision spindle bearings increase rigidity and sustain higher load capacities than similarly priced spindles from other manufacturers.

Toyoda's FV Series feature extremely rigid cast iron bases and columns, providing long-term accuracy and durability in high-speed machining. Many high-torque and direct-drive spindle configurations are available in CAT 40 or CAT 50 tapers. The industry-standard Fanuc control featuring conversation programming makes the FV Series a practical addition to any shop.

Toyoda Machinery is one of the largest machine tool manufacturers worldwide. Toyoda is an engineering-driven company that builds, supplies and services flexible machining systems, horizontal and vertical machining centers and cylindrical grinding machines.
