Complementing existing 80 and 160 A versions, Heavy-Duty Backing Tape is based on 25 mm wide band of woven glass fiber cloth fixed in center of 75 mm wide aluminum strip with self-adhesive reverse side. Tape comes complete with instruction manual showing how to apply and use, and tips about successful weld backing and weld purging.
Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited has introduced a NEW weld backing tape for use at higher welding currents.
The new product complements the existing 80 and 160 amp versions which have become an international industry standard.
For welding with currents up to 240 amp the 'Heavy' duty backing tape is constructed from similar materials to the existing range and is based on a 25 mm wide band of woven glass fibre cloth fixed in the centre of a 75 mm wide aluminium strip with self-adhesive reverse side.
The tape comes complete with an instruction manual showing how easy it is to apply and use with many tips about successful weld backing and weld purging.
