Dedicated to 1,064 nm Raman Spectroscopy, portable spectroscopic instrument is based around iDus InGaAs detector array camera and Bayspec Volume Phase Holographic Gratings (VPHG) spectrograph. It offers F/1.8 aperture, spectral resolution of 8 cm-1, and 3,000 cm-1 spectral coverage. New Portable 1064nm Raman Spectroscopy Device for Greater Collection Efficiency
Belfast, Northern Ireland, 30 October 2008 - Andor Technology plc (Andor), a world leader in scientific imaging and spectroscopy solutions, are pleased to announce the successful outcome of a collaboration on a new portable spectroscopic instrument that allows up to three times greater collection efficiency than standard Czerny-Turner spectrographs.
This powerful new instrument is dedicated to 1064nm Raman Spectroscopy and has been successfully demonstrated at this year's SPIE Optics + Photonics in San Diego, and FACSS in Reno, US.
Based around the Andor iDus InGaAs detector array camera and Bayspec's high throughput Volume Phase Holographic Gratings (VPHG) spectrograph, the instrument offers price/performance benefits whilst also boasting thermo-electric (TE) detector cooling down to -85°C, USB2.0 plug and play connectivity, F/1.8 aperture and spectral resolution of 8 cm-1 alongside with 3000 cm-1 spectral coverage.
