Switching, Overload Protection and Illumination in One Compact Housing

Skillfully designed and compact TA35 series circuit breaker in 1-, 2- or 3-pole versions with enhanced performance

Santa Rosa, Calif., October 2, 2008- Schurter's popular TA35 circuit breaker highlights several new technical features including an extended operating temperature range of -30 °C to +60 °C, extended life to 50,000 switching cycles under load, narrower trip characteristic bandwidth for rated currents > 3 A, and improved conditional short circuit Inc: 2000 A.

Aesthetic features include a stylish rocker switch now offered in five bright illuminated colors, including the popular blue, for a total of ten rocker colors. Various standard and customer specific legends are available options.

The series also offers a "dead man switch", whereby the switch remains ON, while the actuator is depressed, and turns OFF when released. This switch type is particularly useful in equipment such as electric lawn mowers, floor sanders, and electric hand tools where danger of injury exists and in applications such as truck lifts where a specific elevation is desired. An optional protective cover provides a protection class of IP 65, for applications exposed to dust or splashing water, such as medical
laboratory equipment, wood and masonry processing machines, construction site equipment, power generators, food processing equipment and appliances.

The TA35 is designed with efficient snap-in mounting to fit panel thicknesses ranging from 1 to 4 mm with 6.3 x 0.8 mm quick connect terminals. It combines switching and thermal overload protection over a current range of 0.05 A to 20 A for 1 and 2 pole types, and 0.05 A to 12 A for the 3-pole version.

VDE and cURus and CCC approved. Pricing starts at $4.93 at 100 pieces. For more information on the TA35 go to http://www.schurterinc.com/new_cbes or for sales support contact Cora Umlauf at: 1 800 848-2600 or info@schurterinc.com.
