Revolutionary Cublex Technology Is Now Available In Two New Machining Centers.

Matsuura's unique CUBLEX multi-process technology provides multiple 5-Axis milling, turning, and grinding capabilities, all in one high performance platform.

SUDBURY, MA. U.S.A. (September 30, 2008) - Today Methods Machine Tools Inc., a leading supplier of innovative precision machine tools, has announced the introduction of two Matsuura 5-Axis Vertical Machining Centers featuring the industry's most exciting multi-tasking technology - CUBLEX.

CUBLEX integrates turning and grinding functions into a high performance 5-axis milling platform, providing unprecedented speed, power, accuracy, tool capacity and multi-process machining capabilities. In addition, CUBLEX provides great machining versatility such as the ability to change up to 40 chucks automatically as an ATC lathe or milling machine.

The two new Matsuura models are the compact CUBLEX 25 PC 40 that features an 11.8" (29.97cm) dia x 9.8" (24.89cm) H. max work size, 5.2" (13.21cm) pallets and a 40 pallet changer, and the larger CUBLEX 42 PC24 with a work envelope of 16.8" (42.67cm) dia x 14" (35.56) H and a 24 pallet changer with 12.8" (32.51cm) round pallets. The CUBLEX 42 PC24 will make its world debut at IMTS on September 8, 2008.

Both machines have unmatched accuracy, reliability, pallet/ tool options and a high standard spindle speed of 15,000 rpm (CUBLEX-25) or 12,000 (CUBLEX-42), with both machines having an optional speed of 20,000 rpm.

"CUBLEX technology is a definite response to the industry's demand for more multi-process machining capabilities in a single work center that is tailored for the small lot production of highly complex parts. Think of this machine as a tool changing B Axis lathe that can automatically change up to 40 different chucks, with expandable tool capacity, and the full five axis high speed machining capability of a true machining center. The Matsuura CUBLEX is absolutely at the forefront of multi-process technology," said Mr. Dave Lucius, VP of National Distribution of Methods Machine Tools, Inc.

Methods Machine Tools Inc. has been a leading supplier of precision machine tools and accessories for nearly 50 years, providing installation, parts, service, and training through a network of dealers throughout North America. Methods is the exclusive U.S. importer of Matsuura machines.
