o The WORM feature allows data to be permanently written to disk and available for reading only, thus preventing accidental modification or erasure of data. o Support for NDMP allows Open-E DSS to control backup and recovery data streams between a primary storage data server and a secondary one in heterogeneous network environments. Open-E's implementation of NDMP is supported by Symantec Netbackup, EMC Legato Networker, CA Brightstor, and others. NDMP enables organizations to seamlessly integrate new backup applications with existing ones.
