(September 2008) - The Dyna-PurgeŽ Division of Shuman Plastics, Inc., Depew (Buffalo), NY, has introduced the company's latest technology breakthrough-- New & Improved Dyna-PurgeŽ SF engineered purging compound for use in a broad range of extrusion applications. According to Tim Cutler, Dyna-PurgeŽ Business Manager, the enhanced formulation of new Dyna-Purge@ SF works faster and requires less material than other types of commercial purging compounds, and lowers the cost-to-purge up to 46% compared to mechanical/chemical (hybrid) and mechanical (abrasive) brands tested.
"Lab trials comparing non-abrasive Dyna-Purge SF to hybrid and abrasive brands show a dramatic reduction of material required using our new grade, and purging and post-purge times are significantly improved," he explained.
