Lift Truck Tires from Raymond Offer Increased Productivity
GREENE, N.Y. - The new, exclusive Smoothy® line of polyurethane tires for electric lift trucks from The Raymond Corporation is designed to handle the higher speeds of AC lift trucks, reducing heat buildup in the tires and eliminating internal flexing that can lead to deformities or cracks. The Smoothy tires stand up to wear and tear, thus lowering maintenance costs and increasing productivity.
Industry standards allow tires to be up to 0.062 inches out of round. However, the Smoothy tire is manufactured using a patented process that keeps it within 0.005 inches of round, so the lift truck runs more smoothly. The smoother ride increases operator comfort in travel and decreases truck vibration that can lead to nuisance error codes.
"The Smoothy line of tires offers more load stability and subsequently less product damage or loss," says John Perun, director of aftermarket sales and marketing for The Raymond Corporation. "The increased ride quality also gives orderpicker operators greater confidence when the platform is raised, increasing operator productivity."
