Leading 150 W Medical Grade Power Adapters Come with Class I or Class II Insulation
October 3, 2008-Santa Clara, California, USA-Tumbler Technologies + TRUMPower announces the TMP150 series of medical grade AC/DC desktop power adapters, which has both class I and class II insulation. Offering 150W high power, the TMP150 series is an addition to the TMP120 series of 120W class I and class II medical power adapters that the company has.
The TMP150 class II units, furnished with an IEC 320/C18 AC inlet without a ground pin, are doubly insulated to provide proper safety protection where the availability and integrity of an earth cannot be guaranteed. Class I units come with an IEC 320/C14 AC inlet that has a ground pin.
The TMP150 series is approved to UL 60601-1, CSA C22.2 No. 601.1, EN 60601-1 medical standards and complies with EN60601-1-2:2001 EMI standards including EN55011/FCC/VCCI class B (conducted and radiated emissions), EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11. The earth leakage current on class I units is 90µA @ 115VAC or 150µA @ 230VAC, while on class II units, the enclosure leakage current is as low as 90µA @ 264VAC. With standby power consumption lower than 0.5W and efficiency higher than 85%, the units are in compliance with CEC and Energy Star efficiency level IV requirements. They also comply with RoHS requirements.
The TMP150 series offers standard single output voltages of 12V, 15V, 19V, 24V, 27V or 48V with continuous output power of up to 150W. Non-standard output voltages are available upon request. The units come with a 4-pin power DIN plug as the standard output connector. TRUMPower offers many other connector options and can accommodate special requirements.
The series has a 90 to 264 VAC continuous input range with 0.98 power factor. The withstand voltage is 4000VAC from input to output, 1500VAC from input to ground, and 500VAC from output to ground.
The units can operate from 0°C to +60°C with derating required starting at +40°C. The MTBF is higher than 150,000 hours at full load and 25°C ambient per MIL-HDBK-217F. Output protections include overcurrent and overvoltage.
The TMP150 series is priced at $99.50 in OEM quantity.
