Glentronics Announces Launch of Its Green Line Series of Basement Watchdog Submersible Sump Pumps

- World's most energy efficient sump pumps come with industrial strength pumping power

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., Oct. 2 -- Glentronics, Inc. announced that it has launched its Green Line series of energy efficient, powerful primary sump pumps under its Basement Watchdog consumer brand.

"We're very excited to offer the Green Line series to consumers in the Chicagoland area exclusively at Lowe's," said Alan Schulman, the president and CEO of Glentronics. "These are a great value, especially when you factor in the energy efficient design these models have."

Schulman said the user of a Green Line model AC pump will save between $55 and $67 per year on electricity costs. "We are the industry leader in designing energy efficient, reliable sump pumps. The Green Line takes advantage of the latest technology to bring energy savings to the consumer."

The Green Line features two models (the BWT050 and the BWT075). Both models feature Glentronics' patented Dual Float Switch. Two floats are mounted in a protective cage; should one float fail to operate, the second float automatically activates the pump. The protective cage prevents debris or other wires from interfering with movement of the floats.

The Green Line models also feature Gentronics' Standard Dual Float Controller. This controller activates the pump when water lifts the float switch. Once the float returns to its original position, the pump runs for an additional 10 seconds to completely empty the sump pit.

Model BWT050 features a 1/2 horsepower motor and can pump up to 2,770 gallons per hour at a 10' elevation. Model BWT075 features a 3/4 horsepower motor and can pump up to 3,630 gallons per hour at a 10' elevation. Both models come with an 18-month warranty.
