Redline Adds WiMAX Band Solutions to its Broadband Wireless Infrastructure Offerings

TORONTO, September 30/--

- RedCONNEX(TM) MAX+ AN-80i Delivers Maximum Throughput, High Bandwidth, and Enhanced WiMAX Features

Redline Communications Group Inc. ("Redline") (TSX and AIM: RDL), a leading provider of WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products, today announced the launch of the MAX + AN-80i(TM), the newest addition to its Broadband Wireless Infrastructure (BWI) products. The MAX+ AN-80i is designed for deployment by WiMAX spectrum holders around the world as a complementary offering to Redline's award winning RedMAX(TM) and RedMAX 4C(TM) Mobile WiMAX products.

Redline's MAX+ AN-80i operates in the 3.3 to 3.8 GHz WiMAX bands, enabling operators to cover 500 MHz of spectrum with a single software configurable radio solution. Complementing Redline's RedMAX products, which are focused on residential and small business access, the MAX+ is built for high throughput backhaul type connections, providing an ideal solution for mobile operators looking for a licensed band alternative to point-to-point microwave technologies, especially when deploying small cells in urban environments. It also gives network operators the ability to offer premium business-grade communication services to large enterprise customers in addition to their WiMAX access service offerings. The MAX+ incorporates contention based protocols designed to comply with regulations for operation in the 3.65 to 3.70 GHz spectrum in the United States.

"Redline's BWI products have always delivered on the performance and reliability we need to meet our customers' demands for broadband communications," said Juan Carlos Pacheco, CEO of IDNet. "With the introduction of the MAX+ AN-80i, we can utilize new bands and deliver WiMAX-like features such as the low latency required for voice and video communications."

"With many mobile operators upgrading their networks to increase data throughputs to end users, there is a growing need to backhaul IP based traffic. The MAX+ provides carriers a long range, high throughput, cost effective solution that gives them the flexibility to add capacity where they want it, when they want it," said Kevin Suitor, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Redline Communications. Redline's MAX+ AN-80i product is software upgradeable to the RedACCESS MAX+ AN-80i point-to-multipoint product, which will be released in the first quarter of 2009.
