Wood Dale, IL - Mitsubishi introduces the BA24, its new large-capacity, wire EDM with outstanding cost performance. The machine was designed to accommodate a variety of machining needs, from parts to dies, at an attractive price point.
The BA24's new compact head design greatly increases nozzle accessibility to stepped workpieces and clamping fixtures. The flat plate type power feed terminal design simplifies replacement and indexing.
The machine offers X, Y, Z travel dimensions of 23.6" x 15.7" x 12.2" with a four-sided work table and all stainless steel work tank and fluid system. The vertical front work tank door saves floor space required by a swing door and eliminates dripping on the floor.
The BA24's new V350 II power supply with anti-electrolysis technology helps achieve the high performance machining expected of all Mitsubishi EDMs. The PM4 (Power Master 4) control enables full automation from rough to finish machining. PM4's stepped shape capabilities allow multiple parts with different shapes and thickness to be machined without setting specific electrical conditions. SL (Step Less) Control improves accuracy for finishing step shape workpieces.
The new machine comes standard with .004"~ .012" wire capable automatic threading and all-axis absolute control, which enables highly accurate positioning without returning to zero after power failure.
Mitsubishi manufactures equipment that maximizes cost efficiency, serviceability and compatibility. The CS (Cost Save) mode greatly reduces consumable and electrical costs. The dielectric fluid pump inverter has a 16-step programmable flushing control system. The BA24 also has several self-cleaning features for reduced maintenance time.
