Setra Systems Introduces SuperView Weight Indicator
Based on Super II Menu, Weight Indicator Ideal Choice for Wet and/or Industrial Environments
Setra Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer and designer of pressure measurement instrumentation, introduces the new SuperView Weight Indicator. Based on Setra Systems' already familiar Super II Menu driven setup and programming scheme, the NEMA 4X washdown stainless steel weight indicator is a low cost solution for wet and/or industrial environments. Furthermore, the Menu driven Macro Programmability allows the unit to be easily programmed for special applications, such as auto printing and tare accumulation for verification of receivables.
Offered by Setra Systems' Weighing Division, the SuperView Indicator includes all of the same features of the Super II, and then some. Designed to interface to strain gauge load cell bases, the SuperView will drive up to 12-350ohm load cells, and has check-weighing and counting functions pre-installed, so no programming is required to use these features. The new and unique capacitance "keypad" has no moving parts, therefore it cannot wear out. The keypad detects the capacitance of the user's finger and is covered by a plastic plate, and cannot be damaged by someone trying to "push" the buttons with a sharp object.
Setra uses extra-large one-inch digits and the RGB backlight display makes the unit extremely easy to see, even from a distance. The RGB backlight is used as a target indicator for the check-weighing function, so a separate light tree for visual indication is not required. When the weight/count is low, the display will glow white, if the count is on target, the display will glow green, and if the unit is over target, it will glow red.
With the Menu driven Macro Programmability, up to ten print formats can be easily set-up to print labels to the user's specifications. In and Out RS-232 ports come standard with the SuperView Weight Indicator for plug-and-play connectivity of Setra printers and scanners. A bi-directional RS-232 Port, or USB Port, for computer connectivity is also available as a low-cost dealer add-on option.
