PENDLETON, Ind., Sept. 24 -- Delco Remy's new 36SI(TM) heavy-duty alternator is helping fleets meet fuel efficiency improvement goals. Design enhancements to the 36SI alternator include improved cooling, durability and overall efficiency.
Ultimately, alternator efficiency improvements equate to fuel savings. Large fleets, such as giant retailer Wal-Mart, are purchasing the alternator to improve their efficiency across their truck fleets.

The 36SI alternator has a brushless design. This means fewer moving parts to wear, resulting in improved durability and life of the alternator. It also features Remote Sense technology that can reduce battery charge time by 50%.
