MILPITAS, Calif., Sept. 22 -- JDSU today announced release of the MTS/T-BERD-4000 Multiple Services Test Platform for testing and maintenance of FTTx networks. The MTS/T-BERD-4000 is an innovative, modular handheld test instrument that provides communication service providers a complete tool box to perform tests from the physical layer to the application layer. The MTS/T-BERD-4000 is on display this week at the FTTH Council Expo 2008 in Nashville, September 22-24 (booth #1303).

The MTS/T-BERD-4000 provides a large, seven-inch display screen with an ergonomic and intuitive graphical user interface, similar to the market-leading MTS/T-BERD 6000 and 8000 models. There are also versatile and user-friendly functions such as automated scripting capability and data reporting, a web browser for Internet access, remote control access allowing remote assistance, 1 GB extended memory, and extended battery life using smart Lithium ion cells.
