There are many new and legacy applications running on mainframes that output and process data that must be encrypted. With this release of PGP Command Line, organizations now have the flexibility to protect data wherever it is created or stored on mainframes, eliminating the need to move unencrypted data in order to have it encrypted on another system. Using PGP Command Line, customers are able to easily facilitate secure transfers to and from both mainframe and non-mainframe environments. PGP Command Line also provides patented PGP(R) Additional Decryption Key (ADK) technology, enabling corporate access to encrypted data in the event of key loss or when required by policy. Additionally, PGP Command Line leverages existing infrastructures with support for OpenPGP and X.509 key formats, encryption, digital signing, compression, and secure wiping capabilities.
