New Mr. SlimŽ M-Series Offer Larger Capacity

SUWANEE, Ga. - July 22, 2008 - Adding to its already robust line of single zone products, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division has introduced the new Mr. SlimŽ M-Series D30/36NA, available in cooling only and heat pump systems.

"These new additions to the Mr. Slim M-Series line feature rated heating and cooling capacities of 30,000 to 36,000 Btu/h," says Chuck Applebee, product manager, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. "The added capacity and sleek, compact design of the indoor unit provides the widest airflow in the M-Series product line to provide optimum horizontal air distribution."

The D30/36NA line is available in the MSY/MUY cooling only and MSZ/MUZ heat pump systems. The heat pump systems feature the Mitsubishi Electric hot-start technology, which provides warmth from the very beginning of system operation. As the coil is warmed the fan increases in speed to deliver the precise amount of warm air to the indoor space. The new MSY/MSZ indoor units use a sophisticated multi-part filter system to remove contaminants such as dust, pollen and other particles that can cause allergic reactions from the air as it circulates.

These new, larger capacity M-Series systems also are extremely quiet, as low as 32 db(A) indoors. They include a "powerful mode" function, which permits the systems to temporarily run at either a cooler or warmer temperature (depending on need) with increased fan speed to quickly bring any room to the optimum comfort level. The MSY- D30NA cooling only systems have a SEER level of 16 and the MSY-D36NA cooling only systems have a SEER level of 15; both MSZ heat pump systems are rated at 14.5 SEER.

In addition, the systems feature a self-check function with onboard diagnostics and an auto restart feature in case of a power outage. A comprehensive, wireless remote controller also is included for simple, precise comfort control.
