September 22, 2008 - Providing results in 4 minutes, LeadQUICK(TM) Home Paint Kit tests EPA recommended maximum level of lead in paint, which is 1 mg/per cm². Kit uses wedged paint chip that measures all paint layer for lead. Chemical reaction produces visible color change in presence of lead compounds. Supplied with 25 tests, kit provides following levels of detection: 0.05, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, and 1.2 mg/cm².

Lead exposure can cause serious health problems, especially in young children. When lead is absorbed into the body, it can cause damage to the brain and other vital organs.
