Available in single and dual outputs from 3.3-15 Vdc, FED20W Series accepts inputs from 9-75 Vdc and provides output power of 20 W. All models contain short circuit protection, over-voltage protection, and On/Off control function. Internal input filter eliminates need for addition of external components. Providing 1,600 V input-to-output isolation, converters operate over temperature range of -40 to +75°C without forced cooling or output power derating.
MANSFIELD, Mass., September 8, 2008 - Designed to meet cost-sensitive power conversion requirements in board-level product applications such as data acquisition, communications, and industrial I/O, Astrodyne announces the FED20W series of modular packaged dc/dc converters that provide output power of 20 Watts. The FED20W series accepts 4:1 wide range inputs from 9VDC to 75 VDC. Currently 14 models are available that provide single and dual outputs from 3.3VDC to 15VDC.
All FED20W series models contain short circuit protection, over voltage protection and On/Off Control function. An internal input filter eliminates the need for the addition of external components and all models are pinout and size compatible with more costly products. In addition, the FED20W series provides 1600V input-to-output isolation and will operate over the ambient temperature range of -40 to +75°C without forced cooling or output power derating. Each unit employs 6 sided shielding and is fully encapsulated with 5-sided nickel coated copper and a FR4 base. The economical FED20W series is value-priced at $48 in OEM quantities with delivery at 6 weeks ARO.
