Instinctiv(TM) v9 is available with 2D Inspection (2Di) v9, which closely monitors print process to promote control of inspection system as well as productivity. To ensure optimal print quality, 2Di inspects areas on boards/stencils to determine if print quality is deteriorating. On-board guidance, operator prompts, and automated post-print inspection feedback are included in addition to touch-screen control and visual reference of process conditions.
DEK Extends Instinctiv(TM) V9 Software Capabilities with 2D Inspection Control
DEK has unveiled its brand new 2D Inspection (2Di) V9 software tool, adding even more functionality to the next-generation Instinctiv(TM) V9 advanced machine user interface. Delivering enhanced control of the mass imaging specialist's proven inspection system, 2Di V9 closely monitors the print process to raise productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.
2Di ensures optimal print quality by inspecting areas on boards or stencils to determine if the quality of print is deteriorating. This functionality allows operators to both identify when a stencil clean or paste dispense is required, and prevent potentially costly issues such as bridging, misalignment, stencil smear, stencil blockage and reduced paste volume. Backed by the enhanced process control of Instinctiv V9, 2Di now benefits from a whole host of functionality improvements including fast and simple set-up, on-board guidance, enhanced operator prompts and automated post-print inspection feedback highlighting sites requiring attention.
Prioritising ease-of-use, the software's simple touch-screen control and visual reference of process conditions dramatically reduces the complexity of advanced platforms and applications. This means that 2Di users can enjoy enhanced visibility and control through a variety of innovative developments including the addition of a library of common control limits which can be adjusted on a graphical bar and easily edited to match precise process requirements. 2Di V9 also incorporates clear graphical representation of inspection data and a useful full page zoom function for comprehensive set-up and inspection views. The addition of a status page enhances operator visibility even further, delivering dynamic process monitoring by displaying results in real time during production.
