August 26, 2008-- AXIOMTEK is pleased to introduce the PICO820, an ultra low power Pico-ITX SBC, which supports super compact Intel® Atom(TM) processor Z500 series based on the new 45nm Hi-k Intel® process technology. The PICO820 is an incredibly small 10 cm x 7.2 cm mainboard based on Pico-ITX form factor, the world's smallest x86 embedded board. In the new Pico-ITX form factor, the PICO820 provides system developers and OEMs with an ultra compact yet highly integrated platform that delivers excellent computing performance at remarkably low power consumption. For car PCs and in-flight entertainment systems or industrial automation systems and even portable devices, the PICO820 satisfies customer's demands in compact-size, fanless operation, low power consumption and versatile I/O.
The PICO820 supports ultra low power Intel® Atom(TM) Z510 1.1GHz and Z530 1.6GHz processors at 533MHz FSB with the Intel® System Controller Hub (SCH) US15W, a low power chipset in one small 22x22 mm package. The integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 500 (Intel® GMA 500) offers advanced graphics and 3D performance. Moreover, the Intel® Atom(TM) processor Z500 series supports SSE3 that improves performance on multimedia and gaming applications, as well as, Hyper-Threading technology, Intel® Virtualization Technology and Low TDP.
In a small rugged form factor, the PICO820 provide a full set of I/O features including Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 2.0 ports, two UARTs, SATA, CompactFlash(TM), SDIO port, HD audio, and video. The integrated graphic engine supports CRT and 24-bit LCD display modes. Additionally, this Intel® Atom(TM)-based Pico-ITX SBC features DDR2 memory up to 1GB, and is required only +5V power input.
