September 11, 2008 - Linux-embedded Turbo NAS series is available with QGet remote download control utility, which promotes Mac user experience when using Download Station component. Download Station supports PC-less BitTorrent, FTP, and HTTP downloads. Mac users can use QGet utility to remotely manage multiple download tasks of QNAP NAS servers from LAN/Internet. Download management utility is available in Windows and Mac versions with multilingual support.

QNAP Announces QGet Utility for Mac Users to Enhance the Download Station of Turbo NAS Series

Taipei, Taiwan, September 2008 - The leading network storage provider QNAP Systems, Inc. today unveils the QGet remote download control utility for Mac users to improve their experience of using the Download Station of Turbo NAS series. The Download Station is a powerful function of QNAP's Linux-embedded Turbo NAS which supports PC-less BitTorrent, FTP, and HTTP download with proven energy-saving performance. In addition to using the web browser to access the web-based Download Station, Mac users can now use the QGet utility to remotely manage multiple download tasks of one to many QNAP NAS servers from LAN or over the Internet. For example, the users can view the download percentage, pause/ restart/ delete the download tasks, set schedule download, or configure the download settings of different NAS servers.

The QGet remote download management utility is available in Windows and Mac versions with multilingual support, .e.g. English, Traditional & Simplified Chinese, German, French, Spanish, and Italian. QNAP Turbo NAS users can download the software from the official website http://www.qnap.com/download.asp. QNAP's Download Station supports BitTorrent, FTP, and HTTP download. You can also set up PC-less download eMule and NZB by QPKG installation.
