MagnaChip Unveils Complimentary N-P Channel MOSFET Series for LCD TVs and Monitors

SEOUL, South Korea, Aug. 29 /-- MagnaChip Semiconductor Ltd., a leading provider of analog and mixed signal semiconductor products for high volume consumer applications, today, announced the launch of its new power efficient MOSFET series for use in backlight units of LCD TVs and LCD monitors.

The N-P Multi-Chip MOSFET series includes Power N-channel and P-channel complimentary MOSFETs designed for LCD TV and LCD monitor inverters. The series provides an optimized solution for half- or full-bridge inverter designs, offers DPAK (discrete packaging) and SOIC-8 (Small Integrated Circuit packaging), and integrates the N-Channel and P-channel into a single device, allowing for reduced board space and cost. In addition, the N-P Multi-Chip MOSFET series offers lower RDSon and Qg for decreased conduction and switching loss, providing a competitive thermal performance for MOSFETs with both DPAK and SOIC. Lead and halogen free, this series is suitable for use in backlight units for LCD TVs, LCD monitors, motor drivers and lamp drivers.

Sang Park, CEO and Chairman of MagnaChip, said, "We are thrilled to bring this series to the marketplace. With the launch of this new series, we continue our rapid expansion into the power solutions market. We look forward to continued growth in this area, as we expand our product portfolio to meet more of our customers' needs."
