September 3, 2008 - Measuring 4 mils thick with adhesive thickness of 3.75 mils, Type 7434-74 includes 74 lb liner that can be removed after lamination to fragile low density foams without foam tearing. Aggressive, acrylic-based transfer adhesive offers elevated temperature performance and is suited for bonding to broad spectrum of foam substrates including ether, ester low perm urethane, and melamine foams.

Adchem Corporation Develops New 7400 Series Transfer Adhesive Designed for Excellent Foam Bonding to Challenging Surfaces


Adchem Corporation announces the development of their new, aggressive acrylic-based transfer adhesive, specifically designed for superior foam bonding and elevated temperature performance. The 7434-74 is an unsupported adhesive that offers excellent bonding characteristics to a broad spectrum of foam substrates, including challenging products such ether, ester low perm urethane, and melamine foams.

Features of the 7434-74 adhesive include an easy-release 74 lb. liner that can be removed, after lamination to fragile low density foams such as melamine, without foam tearing; enhanced die cutting; high peel strength; and high shear resistance. The nominal 4-mil transfer tape has an adhesive thickness of 3.75 mils (± .3 mils).
