Data Transfer Unit transmits over existing dispenser wires.

September 2, 2008 - Connected with up to 3 phases of site power and interfaced with TS-550/5000/EMS console, TS-DTU uses Wired-Less(TM) technology to transmit data from Vapor Flow Meter and Vapor Pressure Sensor back to INCON console. It does not incur disruption of forecourt, eliminates need to pull wires, and will not interfere with dispenser operation. Able to work even if some dispensers are on different phases, UL-approved unit features multi-industry power line communications technology.

Wired-Less(TM) Debuts with New TS-DTU Data Transfer Unit

Franklin Fueling Systems is pleased to announce the addition of the TS-DTU Data Transfer Unit to our complete line of Fuel Management Systems. No conduit, no problem. The all new Data Transfer Unit uses Wired-Less(TM) technology to transmit data from the Vapor Flow Meter and Vapor Pressure Sensor back to the INCON console across existing dispenser wires. This new development, which is compatible for use with most common dispenser models, can save you thousands of dollars in conduit installation costs when upgrading your site with Vapor Recovery Monitoring (ISD). Advantages

Advantages
o Multi-industry proven power line communications technology
o Save weeks of installation time
o Save thousands of dollars in costly conduit installation
o No disruption of forecourt by having to break concrete
o No need to pull wires
o Will not interfere with dispenser operation
o UL approved for installation in most common dispensers
o Works even if some dispensers are on different phases
o Easy install next to TS-550/5000/EMS or breaker panel

Available for use with TS-550, TS-5000 and TS-EMS consoles, one Data Transfer Unit is connected to up to three phases of site power, as needed, at the breaker panel and interfaces with the console. Other Data Transfer Units are installed in the dispensers using the TS-DRK (Dispenser Retrofit Kit) and connect the Vapor Flow Meter and Vapor Pressure Sensor to the dispenser power. Time is running out, California

The April 2009 Stage II EVR upgrade deadline is looming. If you still need to obtain permits, purchase your equipment and arrange for installation by a certified contractor, don't panic. The TS-DTU eliminates the need to run additional communication wires for your ISD upgrade, cutting installation time and cost significantly. In addition, your station will remain free from the delays and shutdowns caused by having to break concrete for installation.
