Sargent & Greenleaf has just released its new Time Lock Keypad. This new product adds secure time lock control to any of the company's model 6124, 6125, 6126, 6127, or Z03 Rotarybolt electronic safe locks. A seven-day repeating time lock schedule with up to two opening periods per day, up to twenty independently programmed holidays, and as many as fifteen independently programmed vacation periods make the new S&G Time Lock Keypad far more versatile than any mechanical time lock ever made.
The Time Lock Keypad communicates with the safe lock using a proprietary encryption protocol. Even if the opening codes have been compromised, removing the Time Lock Keypad during a time lock period and using the opening codes with another keypad connected to the lock will not result in an opening. However, if a Time Lock Keypad is damaged and must be replaced, authorized synchronization of another Time Lock Keypad with the lock is a straightforward procedure that does not even require immediate access to the lock itself.
The keypad's liquid crystal display screen simplifies setup and operation. It can be set to display information and instructions in English, Spanish, German, Italian, and Portuguese. The LCD can also tell the operator if the keypad is using encrypted code communication, and when the next opening period commences if the unit is currently time locked.
If an unusual situation requires early activation of the time lock, it's only a matter of a few simple button presses to initiate an early time lock closure. In addition, an unanticipated closure for up to five days can easily be accommodated by the Time Lock Keypad. Again, it's just a matter of a few button presses by an authorized manager.
