August 28, 2008 - Clearspace v2.5 integrates with salesforce.com, giving users ability to begin or extend discussions via email and in external Web sites. Administrators can extend communities into other web pages by pasting Javascript snippet, enabling marketing and support departments to monitor and participate in additional customer discussions. Various social networking and usability features along with customization options are also offered.

Clearspace 2.5 makes it easy for users to begin or participate in discussions in new and powerful ways:

-- Salesforce.com Integration: Jive's seamless integration with salesforce.com makes critical business information, from contacts to details on recent meetings to insight into a person's likes and dislikes, available within Clearspace 2.5.

-- Email Integration: Deep email integration makes it possible for users to begin or participate in Clearspace discussions via email, extending access to mobile users and any user who wishes to communicate without leaving their email application.

-- "Community Everywhere" Integration: Clearspace administrators can now extend communities into other web pages simply by pasting a small Javascript snippet. This integration allows marketing and support departments to monitor and participate in additional customer discussions.

The new release also extends Jive's leadership in social networking by introducing these collaboration features:

-- Connections: Users can now connect and follow each others' activities with the click of a mouse, introducing Twitter-like functionality to the enterprise.

-- Enhanced Search: Users can easily find groups of people based on similar profile attributes.

-- Groups: Users can create or join social groups on the fly, based on areas of interest.

Clearspace 2.5 also introduces new features that provide new ease of use for users and administrators:

-- Rich Text Editor (RTE): This simple and straightforward editor was designed so that a novice could use it without any training, which greatly improves employee efficiency and speeds collaboration.

-- Global Renaming: Clearspace 2.5 provides a global find and replace of application terminology, so that companies can continue to operate within their own nomenclature and culture.

-- Customization and 'skins': Site and community administrators can easily configure the look and feel of Clearspace by changing the color scheme and logo. Users can also download a more advanced developer kit to update the included images and deploy custom themes.
