17" Slim Panel Computer Powered by Intel® Core(TM)2 Duo for Multimedia Applications

Taipei, Taiwan, August 12, 2008-- AXIOMTEK is pleased to introduce a new 17" multimedia panel PC, the PANEL1178-841, which is powered by a high performance Intel® Core(TM)2 Duo processor with the Intel® Q965 Express chipset. The PANEL1178-841 adopts a rugged industrial-grade front bezel, and is equipped with a 17" SXGA TFT LCD with a resolution of up to 1280 x 1024 pixels. To answer the growing demands of multimedia application, the PANEL1178-841 features two 1394a ports, two Gigabit Ethernet, a built-in speaker, a WLAN module (optional) and up to 3GB of dual channel DDR2 system memory. With only 86mm in thickness, the PANEL1178-841 can be applied in space-limited harsh environments. Its applications include wireless self-service points, interactive kiosks, and building automation.
The PANEL1178-841 uses the Intel® Q965 Express chipset and supports an Intel® Core(TM)2 Duo processor in the LGA775 package with up to 3 GB of dual channel DDR2 533/677/800/1066 system memory. The modern industrial-grade front bezel is NEMA 4 / IP65 compliant with the advantages of light weight, high degree of hardness, good heat releasing, easy-to-shape, and anti-corrosion to be designed to work in a wide range of heavy-duty industrial fields. Moreover, the PANEL1178-841 features a built-in speaker for multimedia use. It also supports a WLAN module and antenna (optional) for wireless connectivity.

Mounting options include panel mount, rack mount, VESA, wall mount, and desktop.
