Buffalo Grove, IL - July 08, 2008
Customers looking for more environmentally conscious formulations in the U.S. now have a new biocide option from Dow Biocides, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company ("Dow"). CANGUARD(TM) ULTRA BIT 20 LE Preservative (patent pending) provides a low VOC (volatile organic content) biocide for the protection of industrial water-based products against harmful bacteria, yeasts and fungi.
Demonstrating exceptional chemical stability and good compatibility with most formulations, CANGUARD ULTRA BIT 20 LE is a broad-spectrum biocide that can be used under a broad range of pH and temperature conditions. CANGUARD ULTRA BIT 20 LE, a high purity non-formaldehyde bactericide, is an effective preservative in most aqueous compositions and is commonly used in the following applications: polymer latexes and emulsion systems, water-based paints, coatings, adhesives, oil-in-water emulsions, textile spin-finish solutions, fountain solutions, and bacterial control in the paper-making process.
