OracleŽ VM Templates accelerate deployment of fully configured software stacks by providing pre-installed and pre-configured images of enterprise software. Fully supported by Oracle for production deployments, templates are available for Oracle Database 11g, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Siebel CRM 8, and Oracle Enterprise Linux. SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 6 -- Further enabling customers to benefit from server consolidation, energy and space cost savings by using enterprise-class server virtualization, Oracle today announced Oracle(R) VM Templates.
-- Oracle VM Templates offer a time-saving approach to deploying a fully configured software stack by providing pre-installed and pre-configured images of enterprise software.
-- Fully supported by Oracle for production deployments, the first set of Oracle VM Templates are now available for:
-- Oracle Database 11g,
-- Oracle Enterprise Manager,
-- Oracle's Siebel CRM 8, and
-- Oracle Enterprise Linux.
-- Enabling customers to reduce installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance costs, Oracle VM Templates are a new addition to the Oracle VM offering, Oracle's server virtualization software. Oracle VM supports both Oracle and non-Oracle applications and offers customers scalable, low-cost server virtualization backed by Oracle's world-class support.
-- Oracle VM Templates help eliminate the need to install new products from scratch thereby offering faster time to market. Customers can simply copy Oracle VM Templates to the server where Oracle VM resides and they will have a fully installed and configured software environment.
