August 4, 2008 - Rated 50 mA at 35 Vdc, SH Series comes in non-illuminated models as well as illuminated styles using single or bi-colored LED options. Dielectric strength is 500 Vrms minimum with insulation resistance greater than 100 MW. Units are available with pre-engraved process symbols and 3.3 mm square post for custom actuator designs. Operating from -40 to 85°C, switches feature polycarbonate cover, Valox base, and silver-plated copper alloy contact and terminals.

CIT Relay & Switch SH Series Key Switches Features New Options and Cap Styles


Minneapolis, Minnesota - CIT Relay & Switch SH Series is a high quality, versatile switch offering a variety of non-illuminated and illuminated package styles to fit nearly any design requirement. This "next generation" utility switch features non-illuminated, single and bi-colored LED options with a wide variety of cap and actuator
options. Pre-engraved off the shelf process symbols including lighted "on/off" and arrow directional symbols are included in the over 25 different cap and actuator options. A 3.3mm square post for custom actuator designs is also available. A 12mm flat actuator combined with a short 0.5mm travel is ideal for use under laminated panel. The SH Series offers design engineers hundreds of options to fulfill their design needs.

Specifications: Tested electrical life of the SH Series is 100k cycles with electrical rating of 50mA @ 35VDC. The dielectric strength of the SH Series is 500Vrms minimum with insulation resistance of >100MW minimum. Actuation force is 130 ± 50gF with travel of 0.5mm ± 0.1mm. Operating and storage temperature is -40°C to 85°C.

Materials: Cover is Poly Carbonate with the base of Valox. Contacts and terminals are silver-plated copper alloy.

The SH Series switch applications include a variety of digital applications as an input, reset and on/off switch in audio products, electronic games, appliance, instrumentation, video and numerous other applications requiring subminiature switching. Volume pricing ranges from $0.20 dependent upon options. CIT Relay & Switch leadtime is 4 to 6 weeks.
