Release Coatings accommodate various applications.

July 18, 2008 - High release/non-stick coatings, applied over thermally (plasma) sprayed layer, can produce range of surface textures. While coatings are available with average roughness of 50 µin. Ra on smoother end of scale, varying degrees of roughness are available up to 1,000 µin. when high traction is required along with release. Silicone topcoats are optimized for release over durable, wear-resistant, metallized, or ceramic basecoats.

Racine Flame Spray, Inc. Offers High Release Coatings

Racine Flame Spray now offers high release/non-stick coatings that are applied over a thermally (plasma) sprayed layer yielding durable coatings with a wide range of surface textures. On the smoother end of the scale, coatings are available with an average roughness of around 50 µin (1.25 µm) Ra. On the opposite end, the roughness can be around 1,000 µin (25 µin) when high traction is required along with release.

These coatings are armed with tough silicone topcoats with excellent release, over durable, wear resistant, metallized or ceramic basecoats. The coatings are useful in a wide variety of applications. For example, the smoother coatings can be used on rollers laminating clear film to a variety of substrates. On the other hand, the very rougher coatings can be used on rollers for high speed slitting and winding of tissue and other products. They work well with most adhesives and sticky plastic materials.

From its beginnings in 1923, Racine Flame Spray has become one of the foremost providers of high technology coatings applications. Racine Flame Spray is recognized for its ability to execute on-site work with equipment set-up requiring little customer assistance with all work completed quickly, efficiently, and with minimum intrusion.

Racine Flame Spray received ISO 9001 certification in 2001. A reputation for reliability, quality, speed and efficiency is your assurance of outstanding service. Racine Flame Spray has always worked closely with the pulp and paper industry of North America.
