Secondary Operation Machine

Automation Associates, Inc have developed a standard index-type secondary operation machine for drilling, reaming, tapping and threading operations. Parts requiring consecutive follow-up operations can readily be tooled to this basic system. The index table is a geneva motion type, six, eight or 12 stations with either air, electric or hydraulic drive.

Horizontal and vertical drilling and tapping heads are available in sizes from 1/2 thru two hp with spindle thrust from 300 to 2,500 pounds, both air and hydraulic feeds.

Fully mechanical clamping mechanisms automatically open and close the fixtures during the table index. Simple locating nests provide fast changeover for a wide variety of parts, which can be hand loaded, magazine fed, or hopper feeds can be supplied for fully automatic operation.

We also offer a complete selection of adjustable and fixed center multiples head for tapping/drilling clusters of holes simultaneously, standard work holding and positioning fixtures which we offer completely tooled for specific parts and production requirements, from simple hand load, magazine fed to fully automatic systems with vibratory orienting feeders.
