Mokon Announces Its Newly Re-Engineered Stainless Steel Hydrotherm II Water System
BUFFALO, N.Y. - Mokon announces the availability of the Hydrotherm II Plus circulating water temperature control system re-engineered to improve accuracy, reliability of operation and increase output. The Hydrotherm II Plus has the highest quality components and construction materials in the industry.
Hydrotherm II was the first system of its kind with stainless steel as the main component for wetted surfaces, from the stainless steel pump to the stainless steel heater canister and pump suction manifold. This system is unmatched in an industry of carbon steel and cast iron systems.
The Hydrotherm II Plus is now available with standard heating capacities up to 12 kW with higher heating capacities offered as options, pump sizes offered up to 3 hp, and flow rates of 15 gpm to 60 gpm. To improve serviceability, the heaters are now removed from the back to allow better tool access. The overall number of fasteners has been reduced and to strengthen and stabilize the system, the front casters have been moved toward the back of the system. The Hydrotherm II Plus features hybrid-epoxy powder coated cabinetry with a 14 ga. base and 16 ga. electrical enclosure
"The newly re-engineered Hydrotherm II Plus was designed with our customers in mind", says Jeff Mallon, sales manager for Mokon. "The increased output and improvement in serviceability came from listening to the needs of our customers."
The unique high-efficiency heating design, found in all Mokon systems, is replicated in this design with a two-pass stainless steel heating canister. Fluid is forced to take a designed path over the heating elements to increase heat transfer efficiency. Featuring an operator-friendly and easy-to-use microprocessor-based controller, the Hydrotherm II delivers precise temperature control.
The Hydrotherm II Plus systems provide the highest level of protection in the industry with UL labeled electrical sub-panels and NFPA 79 electrical safety standards. The system also comes standard with an extended warranty - 3 years on system, 5 years on microprocessor controller and safeties, and lifetime on seals, piping, and canister. Built with many unmatched features and capabilities, Mokon's Hydrotherm II Plus engineers will also custom design systems to meet specific process requirements.
For over 50 years, Mokon has set the standard for high quality circulating liquid temperature control systems. Through the development of new products, refinement of existing designs, and our ability to create custom engineered solutions, Mokon has consistently demonstrated its ability to foresee the evolving needs of customers in plastic, die casting, food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, rubber, printing, and many more industries. The company's product line has grown significantly since it first introduced a water temperature control system in 1955 to include heat transfer fluid systems, portable and central chillers, pump tanks, cooling towers, blown film coolers, cold climate coolers, maintenance products, custom designed and engineered systems.
