Whizard® Series II Trimmers Are Ideal for Defatting Beef Strips & Rounds

The Model 1000 Family of Whizard® Series II Trimmers from Bettcher Industries are specifically designed for several important trimming applications.

Birmingham, Oh. - July 11, 2008 -- The Model 1000 Family of Whizard® Series II Trimmers from Bettcher Industries are specifically designed for several important trimming applications. Among the most effective of these applications are defatting beef strips and rounds, where the precise trimming action of the tool's large circular blade improves yields, product appearance and product margins - thereby increasing bottom-line profitability.

The Whizard® Series II Trimmer is the latest generation of Bettcher trimmers which were originally pioneered by the company in the late 1980s. Series II Trimmers incorporate patented design elements that improve operator productivity, safety and comfort. Among these design details are captive hex-head housing screws that provide faster, easier removal and reinstallation of the blade housing and blades. The new design also makes it easier for operators to fine-tune the blade adjustment.

Other improvements to the blades and housing make Whizard® Series II trimmers markedly different and superior-performing compared to preceding versions. An enhanced gear mesh design contributes to smoother blade operation, while better proximity to the built-in steeling device button makes precision steeling of blades quicker and more comfortable.

All Series II handpieces feature a contoured handle design to reduce grip force
and torque momentum. Operators can choose from five handle sizes. These interchangeable handles are color-coded by size for easy identification, and are very comfortable - even during periods of extended use. A hand-strap provides operators with added control if desired, while the flex-shaft/casing attaches to the handpiece with a simple two-action motion.

In addition to defatting beef strips and rounds, the Model 1000 Family of Whizard® Series II Trimmers are highly effective when used in other meat processing operations, including hams and pork loin defatting, facing bellies, trimming jowls, pork skin patching, and salmon slicing.
