These highly toleranced, fully-specified TECHSPEC quality ground UV fused silica diffusers are in continual production. The manufacturing process utilizes a 220-grit sandblast to create an even, diffuse surface on the UV fused silica substrate. As each substrate undergoes two orthogonal passes during this sandblast, the resulting TECHSPEC filters offer a uniform diffusion across the surface. The scattering is a compromise of low scatter loss and medium diffusion.
