DeWALT Introduces 15 and 16 Gauge Finish Nailers

- Innovative Sealed Lube Dual Tech(TM) Offers Users Increased Flexibility on the Jobsite -

June 2008 - DeWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, launches a new line of heavy-duty 15 gauge and 16 gauge finish nailers (D51276K and D51257K). DEWALT designed the new nailers with a patent-pending Sealed Lube Dual Tech(TM) feature that allows for oil-free or oil-lube operation, providing users with added flexibility. Built for woodworkers, carpenters, and cabinet shop professionals, the nailers are ideal for applications including crown molding, interior and exterior trim work, door and window casings, paneling, cabinetry, staircase building and hardwood floor installation.

Performance

For increased performance, the D51276K and D51257K nailers are able to drive 1" - 2 ½" nails into hardwoods, such as oak. Additionally, DeWALT designed the nailers with an internal piston catch that provides maximum power and a consistent drive on each shot. A tool-free jam clear helps users quickly remove bent nails, and a 360 degree exhaust cap channels air and dust away from the user throughout operation.

Ease of Use

DEWALT built the D51276K and D51257K nailers with an innovative Sealed Lube Dual Tech(TM) system that offers users the flexibility to choose between oil-free or oil-lube operation. The Sealed Lube Dual Tech(TM) system incorporates a new dual stack piston-ring design and a new non-stick head valve design which maintains the durability of the motor regardless of users' oil preference. For quick and easy fastener reloading, DEWALT designed the magazine with a lock and load or load and lock feature. Both units are equipped with a tool-free depth adjustment that allows the user to quickly set the depth for proper nail countersink.

At 3.85 lbs, both units have a lightweight design that helps to reduce user fatigue and a molded grip on the center handle offers increased user comfort. Both nailers are equipped with a tool-free adjustable belt clip allowing the user to easily transport the nailer. The nailers are also designed with a low-profile, non-marring rubber tip and a clean line of sight down the body of the tool for increased visibility.

Reliability

For increased reliability and longer life, the D51276K and D51257K are designed with a dual stack ring design that maintains the piston seal longer, even with wear over time.
