Push/Pull Conveyor targets drive-thru applications.

July 15, 2008 - Designed to replace pneumatic tube systems used in drive-thru service lanes at banks, TransTrax® uses less than 1/10th electricity, has only 4 moving parts, and is constructed of recyclable materials, most of which are aluminum. By using positive drive system and smart sensors, single motor operates only when needed to deliver carrier. TransTrax delivers to 2 vehicle heights and is unaffected by weather conditions.

E.F. Bavis & Associates, Inc. Announces Green Product for Banking Industry

Cincinnati, OH July 9, 2008-E.F. Bavis and Associates announced today that they are expanding their product line of drive-thru equipment with an energy saving conveyor based system called "TransTrax." TransTrax® is a push/pull tape conveyor designed to replace pneumatic tube systems commonly used in drive-thru service lanes at banks.
Engineers at E.F. Bavis and Associates built this product in response to a growing demand by businesses looking for green solutions to lessen their carbon footprint on the environment. The engineers at Bavis met this need with a nonpneumatic delivery system that has all the functionality of a pneumatic tube, but uses less than one-tenth of the electricity consumed by standard pneumatic tube systems used in drive-thru banking lanes. In addition, the TransTrax® system is constructed of recyclable materials, most of which are aluminum.

The TransTrax® system includes multiple features that translate into direct benefits for the banking industry:

o Carriers in pneumatic tube systems have a limited weight capacity and can stop at only one height - The TransTrax® carrier handles 3 times the weight and delivers to two vehicle heights.

o Pneumatic tube systems are high maintenance - TransTrax® consists of only four moving parts made of durable materials guaranteed to last.

o Pneumatic tube systems require two motors and are energy inefficient - By using a positive drive system and smart sensors, the single motor that powers the TransTrax® system operates only when needed to deliver a carrier. Motor life is extended 20 fold with TransTrax®.

o Because pneumatic tube systems use air as their medium, they suffer from technical difficulties due to changes in temperature and humidity - The TransTrax® system is not affected by weather conditions.

When asked whether the TransTrax® system meant that Bavis would discontinue building their past models of pneumatic tube systems, company president Bill Sieber responded, "Absolutely not. Our reason for developing the TransTrax system was to better serve banks that desire to use green products as a way to help the environment.
While our APS (Advanced Pneumatic System) is not as energy efficient as the TransTrax, it is still three times more energy efficient than our competitors' pneumatic tube systems. We will continue to serve clients who are limited to choosing only pneumatic products with a competitive pneumatic tube delivery system that we are proud to put our
name on."
