July 7, 2008 - Modified for spring clamp air open, Model 700 features hardened and ground 4140 top jaws that grip OD of drive shaft slip yokes. Chuck jaws have excess material milled away to reduce centrifugal forces, while hardened and ground alloy steel spline driver is mounted to chuck face to facilitate loading and driving of shaft as it spins to 3,500 rpm for balancing. TIR is equal to 1/10,000, cycle time is 60 sec, and accuracies range from 0.0001-0.00001 in.
