Cooling Element protects pressure gauges.

July 1, 2008 - Under laboratory test conditions, Sta-Kool(TM) 316L SS Cooling Element can reduce 400°F liquid process temperatures to 100°F at active portion of Bourdon tube. Unit has max operating temperature of 750°F at 3,500 psi and max operating pressure of 5,000 psi at 100°F. Element can be threaded or welded to any pressure gauge with ˝ in. NPT male connection made from compatible material. It can also be attached in between pressure gauge and diaphragm seal for most comprehensive protection.

Sta-Kool Cooling Element Protects Pressure Gauges From Temperature Swings

SELLERSVILLE, PA-Extreme process temperatures reduce the accuracy, reliability, durability and lifespan of a pressure gauge. The Sta-Kool(TM) cooling element from AMETEK US GaugeŽ was designed specifically with high temperature processing environments in mind. Under laboratory test conditions, the 316L stainless steel Sta-Kool cooling element was able to reduce 400oF (204oC) liquid process temperatures to 100oF (38oC) at the active portion of the Bourdon tube.

The Sta-Kool cooling element has a maximum operating temperature of 750oF (400oC) at 3,500 PSI operating pressure and a maximum operating pressure of 5,000 PSI at 100oF. It can be either threaded or welded (to eliminate a potential leak path) to any pressure gauge with ˝" NPT male connection made from a compatible material. In addition, the Sta-Kool element can be attached in between a pressure gauge and diaphragm seal for the most comprehensive process measurement protection possible, protecting the instrument from both pulsation and temperature extremes.

Sta-Kool cooling elements are backed by U.S. Gauge's 100-year experience in process measurement and are available from U.S. Gauge's Largo, Florida, manufacturing distribution center or its worldwide network of authorized distributors.
