Opto Diode Introduces New Blue/Green Enhanced Silicon Photodiode-Preamplifier
June 20, 2008 - Newbury Park, CA - Opto Diode Corporation, a leading supplier of advanced performance photodetectors and high-sensitivity, visible and infrared LEDs, introduces the new 5 mm² Photodiode-Preamplifier ODA-5WB-100K, the first in a series of three blue/green-enhanced devices. The new silicon detector-preamp features 100 Kohm gain (custom gains are also available, upon request). It offers wavelength response at 450 nm, typically 28 V/mW (min. 20). Responsivity ranges from 400 nm to 1100 nm, with a peak spectral response of 940 nm and features a large active area, high sensitivity, and extremely low noise.
Opto Diode's new preamp-detector is hermetically sealed in a TO-39 can for convenient and easy integration into new or existing systems. Storage and operating temperatures range from -25 degrees to +100 degrees C. Affordably priced at $63.75 each in quantities of 100 units, the new 5mm² ODA-5WB-100K device is ideal for industrial and biomedical applications, such as fluorescence and phosphorescence.
