Horton Introduces New DM Advantage Fan Drives

On/Off and Two-Speed Options Available
Features premium components and extensive field testing

ROSEVILLE, Minn.-Horton, Inc. has introduced the new DM Advantage Fan Drives to meet the current and future industry demands for reliable engine cooling, fuel savings and noise reduction. Offered in on/off and two-speed technologies, DM Advantage is engineered for the highest-heat under-hood applications.

The new DM Advantage Fan Drives are comprised of premium bearings, a superior air cartridge and a long-wearing friction liner. The improvements in cooling ability yield better engine performance and longer operating life.

DM Advantage Fan Drives have performed flawlessly during two years of field testing in the highest-heat under-hood applications. The field tests were performed on over 250 trucks, which were driven more than a total of 45 million miles. This level of reliability translates into increased uptime and decreased maintenance costs.

The spring-engaged DM Advantage On/Off Fan Drive keeps engine coolant at a more consistent operating temperature and has increased reliability in high-horsepower applications. It features high torque for turning larger fans, a lighter weight, low parts count for simplicity and a fail-safe design.

The DM Advantage Two-Speed Fan Drive alternates between eddy current and spring-actuated cooling for precise, highly efficient temperature control and faster engine warm-ups in cold weather. It is ideal for vehicles with little or no ram air. While using eddy current, it turns the fan at a lower speed, which reduces operating noise, increases available horsepower for auxiliary systems and minimizes radiator abrasion from dust and debris. When additional cooling is needed, it spring-actuates and runs the fan at full input speed.

With more than 55 years of industry experience, commitment to service, reliability and innovation, Horton is a premium worldwide provider of fan drives, fans and suspension products. Horton's comprehensive research and development processes are driven by a dedication to exceed the industry requirements today and in the future. The company has manufacturing plants in the United States and Germany, with a licensed manufacturing facility in Australia and sales offices in the United States, Germany, South Korea, Mexico, Brazil and Australia. Horton products include Stratis(TM) Viscous Fan Drives, VMaster® Viscous Fan Drives, DM Advantage(TM) On/Off and Two-Speed Fan Drives, WindMaster® Fans, Electromagnetic On/Off Fan Drives, DriveMaster® Spring-Engaged Fan Drives, Klondike Series® Replacement Fan Clutches for the Kysor K22RA and repair kits for Kysor's K22RA and K22FA, repair kits, remanufactured fan drives and Roller Bushing Suspension Products.
