Rugged Convertible Notebook meets MIL-STD-810F.

May 29, 2008 - Fully-rugged Guardian 100 functions as laptop, or, by rotating display up to 180°, transforms into tablet PC slate. It features sunlight-readable 10.4 or 12.1 in. wide screen display, magnesium alloy case sealed to IP54, and shock-mounted removable 120 or 160 GB serial HDD. Energy-efficient Intel® Core(TM) Duo processor allows quiet, fan-less operation. Additional features include gigabit Ethernet, integrated GPS, wireless PAN/WAN, SD Card reader, and waterproof reversible camera.

Industrial Computing Introduces the Guardian 100 Rugged Convertible Notebook

The Guardian 100 is a military grade (MIL-STD-810F) fully-rugged compact notebook that can either be used as a standard laptop or, by rotating the display up to 180 degrees you can transform into a tablet PC slate. The 10.4" or 12.1" wide screen is sunlight readable. The tough magnesium alloy case is sealed to IP54 standards and it has a shock-mounted removable 120 or 160GB serial hard drive that combine to make it a lightweight design that is protected against damage during operation. Its features include an energy-efficient low voltage Intel® Core(TM) Duo processor that allows a quiet, fan-less operation, gigabit Ethernet, an integrated GPS, fast wireless PAN and WAN implementations, an SD Card reader and a waterproof reversible camera.
