New Torpedo Levels Are Strongest, Most Accurate In Industry
FRANKFORT, Ill. - April 25, 2008 - Swanson Tool Company, a leading manufacturer of layout and leveling tools, announces the launch of a new professional line of precision-machined, solid-billet aluminum torpedo levels, the 9" Savage(TM) and 6" Lil' Savage(TM). The levels are equipped with the most innovative and time-saving features of any level on the market today, all in one pocket-sized, lightweight tool - perfect for contractors and electrical and plumbing professionals.
The Savage(TM) and Lil' Savage(TM) levels are made of precision-machined, solid-billet aluminum alloy, anodized for maximum durability. The four-vial design incorporates Swanson's exclusive Brightview(TM) milled vial ports that capture and reflect light for increased readability and accurate measurement of 0o, 30o, 45o and 90o angles. Top-read viewing windows offer an easy, straightforward view of the 0o and 30o vials.
Laser-engraved SAE and metric rules are prominent features of both levels. Rare-earth, neodymium magnets - considered to be amongst the strongest in the world - have also been integrated into the levels' design to provide maximum holding strength while out on the job.

The Lil' Savage(TM) includes Swanson's exclusive TRI-LOC(TM) "Anti-Dog" attachment. This unique attachment offers three points of contact that lock the level onto the pipe, eliminating any level movement and correctly facilitating offset bends in piping.
