ELMIRA, NEW YORK: The Hardinge Group continues to expand its spectrum of Hardinge turning centers by introducing the American designed and built SR 200 BB (Big Bore) high-performance multi-tasking turning center. Positioned near the top of Hardinge's turning center portfolio (above the GS-Series and below the RS-Series), the all-new SR 200 BB offers users an exceptional combination of performance features that include speed, power, accuracy and durability. This heavy-duty turning center features a Hardinge Sure-Grip lever type 250mm (10-inch) 3-jaw chuck as standard equipment. The SR 200 BB can be configured with many multi-tasking functions including, live-tooling, Y-axis, C-axis and sub-spindle, needed to machine today's complex small to medium sized parts complete in a single set-up.
The Hardinge SR 200 BB turning center is a true high-performance "chuck and bar" machine that will cut the toughest materials and handle deep interrupted cuts with ease while maintaining overall part accuracy. The machine features superior vibration damping accomplished through the use of heavy-duty linear roller guides mounted to a HarcreteŽ-reinforced cast iron base. The platform allows the user to tackle the toughest work virtually vibration free while reducing expenditure on today's high-performance tooling by as much as 33%.
