Machining Software features multi-axis capability.
May 9, 2008 -
NCL multiaxis machining software for aerospace, automotive, and turbomachinery industry allows all NCL variable names to have up to 64 characters, including geometry names, scalars, macro names, and labels. With maximum subscript value of 1,000,000, 5-axis-capable software supports input line length of 1,024 characters.
Newport Beach, California - May 5, 2008 - NCCS, the developer of NCL multi-axis machining software for the aerospace, automotive and turbomachinery industry, has added new capabilities to its NCL multi-axis machining software by enhancing the labeling of geometry names and subscripts.
Expanded Labels and Subscripts
- All NCL variable names can now have up to 64 characters, including geometry names, scalars, Macro names and labels.
- The maximum subscript value has been increased from 32,767 to 1,000,000.
- The input line length has been increased from 80 to 1024 characters.
Expanding the variable capabilities allows users to be more detailed in labeling their variables, thereby improving the overall part program making it more efficient. It has also been improved to support the more widely used programming method.
According to David Schultz, NCCS' Manager of CAD/CAM Applications, "NCL's five-axis capability offers users more tool control than any other CAM system on the market. Expanding the labeling of geometry, scalars and macros gives users more flexibility and control."
