Intelliun Further Simplifies Model-Driven Development - Announces VE 6.0 at JavaOne 2008

VE 6.0 Extends MDD Productivity to J2EE, .NET and SOA Implementations

SAN FRANCISCO, May 6 -- Intelliun Corporation, a leading innovator in Model Driven Development (MDD), today announced the availability of The Virtual Enterprise (VE) 6.0. Packed with new features, VE 6.0 furthers its advancement in MDD, enables the development of a wider range of applications and Web services, and extends its productivity gains beyond Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE).

"One of the most exciting features of VE 6.0 is the introduction of an after-the-fact template-based code generator. Now you get the best of two worlds, the unmatched productivity gain of VE for developing, executing and validating a Web application with the ability to generate code to multiple target architectures at any point including after the development is completed," said Iyad Jabri, president and CEO of Intelliun. "Initially, VE 6.0 will support generating C#.NET code, but we will quickly follow it with other target architectures based on market demand."

New features of VE 6.0 include:
-- Code Generator for .NET
-- Code Generator template (pattern) customization to support other target architectures
-- VE/Designer now runs on the latest release of NetBeans, version 6.1
-- Support for service-oriented model-driven development
-- Extended support for localization and internationalization
-- New XML syntax and API with convenient creation and query capabilities
-- Support for model annotation
-- Integrated unit/remote testing framework
-- JMX integration to improve manageability for the VE/Server along with application specific Managed-Objects
-- Support for business graphics using JFreeChart
-- Performance enhancements & optimization of memory utilization

"We find Intelliun's approach to service-oriented model-driven development very intriguing," said Ronald Schmelzer, managing partner with ZapThink. "VE 6.0 facilitates the capture of an abstract service model, a SOA best practice, and also helps the rapid creation of a working implementation of the model. In addition, VE's ability to annotate the model with extended service definition provides an innovative tool to enable service governance."

"We've been capitalizing on VE's productivity advantage since 2005 and have several clients using VE-based applications in their daily operations," said John Gutierrez, vice president of Avalion Consulting. "The introduction of VE 6.0 with its ability to generate .NET Web applications will help us expand the use of VE to projects that require .NET deliverables. We will have the advantage of rapidly building and validating applications with our clients then delivering .NET project code."

VE 6.0 was announced today at JavaOne 2008. Additional details and product information can be obtained at: http://www.intelliun.com/.
